Drug Interactions With Aliskiren-Amlodipine-Hydrochlorothiazide

Aliskiren-amlodipine-hydrochlorothiazide can interfere with a variety of different products, so make sure your healthcare provider is aware of any other medicine, vitamin, or herbal supplement you are taking before starting treatment with this medicine. Drug interactions may occur when aliskiren-amlodipine-hydrochlorothiazide is combined with alcohol, ibuprofen, and potassium-containing products. Some of these reactions can increase your risk for low blood pressure or high potassium levels.

 Aliskiren-amlodipine-hydrochlorothiazide (Amturnide®) may react with a number of other medications. Some of the products that may lead to drug interactions with aliskiren-amlodipine-hydrochlorothiazide include:

  • Potassium-containing products, such as:
 
    • Potassium chloride (K-Dur®, Klor-Con®, Micro-K®)
    • Potassium citrate (Urocit-K®, Polycitra-K®)
    • Potassium gluconate
    • Potassium phosphate (Neutra-Phos-K®, K-Phos®)
    • Salt substitutes (used to flavor food)
