Azilsartan/Chlorthalidone

Azilsartan/chlorthalidone is a drug used to treat high blood pressure. This combination product contains two blood pressure medications -- one that helps relax the blood vessels and another that helps to reduce blood volume. It comes as a tablet that is taken once daily, preferably in the morning because it can increase urination. Possible side effects include dizziness and fatigue.

What Is Azilsartan/Chlorthalidone?

Azilsartan/chlorthalidone (Edarbyclor™) is a prescription medication licensed to treat hypertension, more commonly called high blood pressure. It is a combination of two other prescription medicines: azilsartan (Edarbi^®) and chlorthalidone (Thalitone^®).

Are There Side Effects?

Just like any medicine, azilsartan/chlorthalidone may cause side effects.

However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.

If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
