Benazepril-Amlodipine

A healthcare provider can prescribe benazepril-amlodipine (Lotrel) to lower high blood pressure in adults. Benazepril-amlodipine is a combination of two medications that both work to relax the blood vessels. As a result, more blood can flow through the blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood. Benazepril-amlodipine is not a cure for high blood pressure, but it can decrease the risk of developing health problems that can result from long-term high blood pressure. The medication comes in the form of a capsule and is taken once a day. Possible side effects of this drug include dizziness, cough, and headache.
