If you have high blood pressure, your healthcare provider may prescribe bisoprolol fumarate (Zebeta®). The medication is a beta blocker that works to decrease heart rate and lower diastolic and systolic blood pressure by blocking a specific type of beta receptor in the body. It comes in tablet form and is typically taken once a day. Although most people have no problems with bisoprolol, side effects are possible, such as dizziness, fatigue, and nausea.
