Clonidine? Clonodine is a common misspelling of clonidine.
Clonidine hydrochloride (Catapres®, Catapres-TTS®, Duraclon®, Kapvay™, Nexiclon® XR) is a prescription medicine approved for a few different uses, including high blood pressure, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and cancer pain. The drug works to decrease blood pressure by stimulating alpha-2 receptors in the brain stem. When used in an epidural to treat pain, it works by blocking pain signals from reaching the brain.
