Clonidine? Klondine is a common misspelling of clonidine.
The prescription medication clonidine hydrochloride (Catapres®, Catapres-TTS®, Duraclon®) is commonly used for treating high blood pressure. There is also one form of this medicine that can be given by continuous epidural infusion (an "epidural") to treat severe pain in people with cancer. The side effects of this drug depend somewhat upon which form of the drug is used (tablets, patches, or epidural infusion). Some of the most common side effects include drowsiness, fatigue, and skin irritation.
