You should not take clonidine if you are allergic to clonidine hydrochloride, Catapres, Catapres-TTS, Duraclon, Kapvay, Nexiclon XR, or any of the inactive components used to make clonidine. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients. People with bleeding disorders (or who are taking anticoagulant medications) should not take the epidural form of clonidine.
