Generic Demadex

Demadex is currently available in a generic version. Generic Demadex is available in four strengths, including 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, and 100 mg tablets. There is also a generic version of Demadex that is available as an injection, but it is only for use in hospitals.

 

Generic Demadex: An Overview

Demadex® (torsemide) is a prescription medication that has been licensed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and water retention (edema). It is part of a group of medications known as loop diuretics.
 
Demadex was first manufactured by Hoffmann-La Roche. However, it has since come off patent and is available as a generic.
 

Strengths of Generic Demadex

Generic Demadex tablets are available in the following strengths:
 
  • Torsemide 5 mg tablets
  • Torsemide 10 mg tablets
  • Torsemide 20 mg tablets
  • Torsemide 100 mg tablets.
     
Injectable generic Demadex is also available for use in hospitals.
