Generic Diuril

Diuril® (chlorothiazide) is a prescription medication that has been licensed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and water retention (edema). It is a diuretic.
 
Diuril was first manufactured by Merck. However, it has since come off patent and is available as a generic. In fact, Merck has stopped manufacturing Diuril tablets.
 

Strengths of Generic Diuril

Generic Diuril is available in the following strengths:
 
  • Chlorothiazide 250 mg tablets
  • Chlorothiazide 500 mg tablets
  • Chlorothiazide sodium 500 mg vials (for injection).

 

Generic Diuril Oral Suspension is not available at this time.
