Eprosartan

Eprosartan is a medication prescribed to lower high blood pressure. By blocking a certain chemical in the body, the drug causes the blood vessels to relax. Eprosartan comes in the form of a tablet and is typically taken once or twice a day. Common side effects include a sore throat, a runny nose, and coughing.

What Is Eprosartan?

Eprosartan mesylate (Teveten®) is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure (known medically as hypertension). It can be used alone or in combination with other blood pressure medicines.

Are There Side Effects?

Just like any medicine, eprosartan can cause side effects.
 However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
 
If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious reactions are less common.
