Warnings and Precautions With Fosinopril-Hydrochlorothiazide

There are several warnings and precautions with fosinopril-hydrochlorothiazide. For example, it is important for patients to understand the risks of possible drug interactions, allergic reactions, and liver failure. There are also a number of conditions where taking fosinopril-hydrochlorothiazide is not recommended. Before taking fosinopril-hydrochlorothiazide, consult a healthcare provider about any precautions and warnings that may apply to you.

Fosinopril-Hydrochlorothiazide: What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?

Prior to taking
 fosinopril sodium-hydrochlorothiazide (Monopril®-HCT), you should talk with your healthcare provider if you have:
 
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you:
 
  • Are pregnant or trying to become pregnant (see Monopril-HCT and Pregnancy)
  • Are breastfeeding
  • Are on dialysis
  • Drink alcohol regularly
  • Will be undergoing surgery or anesthesia.
     
Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you are currently taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, antacids, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
