Side Effects With HCTZ to Report
There are a number of
HCTZ side effects that you should report immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
- Unexplained swelling of the head or neck (including the face, lips, tongue, or throat)
- Unexplained skin rash
- Itching
- Unexplained blisters or peeling of the skin
- Wheezing
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting spells
- Yellowing of the skin or the whites of the eyes
- Decrease in the amount of urine produced
- Dry mouth
- Increased thirst
- Weakness
- Tiredness
- Restlessness
- Seizures
- Confusion
- Muscle pain or cramps
- Nausea or vomiting
- Weak or irregular heartbeat.
HCTZ Side Effects: Final Thoughts
You may experience some or none of the HCTZ side effects described in this article. Unfortunately, there is no way for your healthcare provider to know beforehand if you will have side effects from a medicine that you have never tried. Therefore, be sure to let your healthcare provider know if you develop any side effects during treatment or if something "just does not seem right."
