Amlodipine and Atorvastatin (Caduet) -- Drug Information

The prescription drug amlodipine and atorvastatin (Caduet®) is used to treat a variety of conditions related to the heart and blood vessels, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high triglycerides. Available in tablet form, the medicine is typically taken once a day. The two primary active ingredients, amlodipine and atorvastatin, work together to help relax blood vessels and decrease the amount of cholesterol the body produces.
 
Because this drug is not right for everyone, before taking amlodipine and atorvastatin, inform your healthcare provider about any allergies you have, as well as any other medical conditions, such as a history of stroke, kidney disease, or liver disease. In addition, tell your healthcare provider about any other medications, vitamins, and supplements you are taking.
