Amlodipine-Valsartan-Hydrochlorothiazide Information

Amlodipine-valsartan-hydrochlorothiazide (Exforge HCT®) is a prescription drug used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It comes in tablet form and is generally taken once a day, preferably at the same time each day. Although most people have no problems with this combination product, side effects can include dizziness, headaches, and fluid retention.
 
Prior to beginning treatment with amlodipine-valsartan-hydrochlorothiazide, inform your healthcare provider about any other medical conditions you may have, especially gallstones, diabetes, or asthma. In addition, tell him or her about all other drugs you are taking, including herbal supplements and nonprescription products. By having this information, your healthcare provider can make sure that amlodipine-valsartan-hydrochlorothiazide is right for your situation.
