Irbesartan/Hydrochlorothiazide Drug Information

Available by prescription only, irbesartan/hydrochlorothiazide (Avalide®) is a medication approved for treating hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults. If your healthcare provider has recommended treatment with irbesartan/hydrochlorothiazide, make sure you go over the drug's safety information first.
 
Although most people do not have any problems while taking this medicine, it is not suitable for everyone. For instance, you may not be able to use it safely if you have certain medical conditions, such as kidney disease.
