Drug Interactions With Isradipine CR

A number of medications may cause drug interactions with isradipine CR, including cimetidine, protease inhibitors, rifamycin antibiotics, and delavirdine. These negative interactions could reduce the effectiveness of isradipine CR or increase your risk for developing side effects. To help prevent drug interactions with isradipine CR, make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are taking.

 

An Overview of Drug Interactions With Isradipine CR

 Isradipine CR (Dynacirc CR®) can potentially interact with a number of other medicines. Some of the medicines that may lead to drug interactions with isradipine CR include:
 
  • Certain antibiotics or antifungals, such as:
 
    • Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
    • Erythromycin (Ery-Tab®)
    • Isoniazid (Nydrazid®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Neoral®)
    • Miconazole
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®)
 
 
 
  • Rifamycin antibiotics, such as rifabutin (Mycobutin®), rifampin (Rifadin®), or rifapentine (Priftin®).
