Side Effects of Isradipine CR

Constipation, headaches, and fatigue are some of the most commonly reported side effects of isradipine CR. Those that are rare include dry mouth, cough, impotence, and drowsiness. Certain isradipine CR side effects, while occurring infrequently, are potentially serious and should be reported to a healthcare provider immediately, including irregular heart rhythm, chest pain, or depression.

 

An Introduction to Side Effects of Isradipine CR:

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with isradipine CR (Dynacirc CR®); however, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can be easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.

Side Effects of Isradipine CR to Report

Some side effects with isradipine CR, while occurring infrequently, are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider.
 These include but are not limited to:
 
  • Chest pain
  • Irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia)
  • Heart attack or stroke
  • Significant water retention, especially accompanied by difficulty breathing, which can be signs of heart failure
  • Signs of low blood pressure, such as dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting
  • Depression
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, including unexplained rash, hives, itching, unexplained swelling, wheezing, or difficulty breathing or swallowing.
