Side Effects of Losartan-Hydrochlorothiazide
The most common side effects of losartan-hydrochlorothiazide include low levels of potassium in the blood; infection, such as the common cold or flu; and dizziness. There are also some more serious and rare side effects of losartan-hydrochlorothiazide, including an unexplained skin rash, difficulty breathing or swallowing, and impotence.
As with any medicine, there are possible side effects associated with losartan-hydrochlorothiazide (Hyzaar®). However, not everyone who takes losartan-hydrochlorothiazide will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate losartan-hydrochlorothiazide well. When side effects do occur, in many cases they are minor, meaning they require no treatment or are easily treated by you or a healthcare provider. Serious side effects can occur, but are less common.
