When medicines such as tricyclic antidepressants or cimetidine are taken with Trandate, drug interactions may occur. As a result, your body may metabolize the drugs differently than intended, and this can result in increased levels of medicine in your blood. Other medications that may interact negatively with Trandate include calcium channel blockers, nitroglycerin, and certain diabetes medicines.
