Drug Interactions With Metoprolol Tartrate

Drug interactions with metoprolol tartrate can cause your body to metabolize the medicines differently than intended, alter the levels of some drugs in the body, and increase the effects of certain diabetes medicines. Some of the drugs that can potentially interact with metoprolol tartrate include clonidine, calcium channel blockers, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

    • Disopyramide (Norpace®, Norpace CR®)
    • Lidocaine (Xylocaine®)
    • Propafenone (Rythmol®)
