Moduretic is a combination of two diuretics:
hydrochlorothiazide (
HCTZ) and
amiloride. Hydrochlorothiazide passes through breast milk. It is not known if the other component (amiloride) is passed through breast milk. It is also not known what the effects might be on a breastfeeding child. If your healthcare provider decides that it is okay for you to take Moduretic while breastfeeding, be sure to watch for any side effects or changes in your baby.
