Moexipril 15 Mg

Moexipril hydrochloride (Univasc®) is a prescription drug approved for hypertension treatment in adults. It works to lower blood pressure by blocking the activity of a certain enzyme within the body, which relaxes the blood vessels and helps the blood pressure come down to normal levels.
The medication comes in the form of tablets, and is available in two strengths:
  • Moexipril 7.5 mg
  • Moexipril 15 mg.
The strength your healthcare provider recommends will depend on how you respond to the medication, whether you are taking other drugs, and other factors. In many cases, the starting dose is 7.5 mg daily. If necessary, your healthcare provider may increase the dose. People with kidney disease should take no more than 15 mg of moexipril a day.
