Drug Interactions With Pindolol

Some of the medications that can cause pindolol drug interactions include nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), reserpine, calcium channel blockers, and certain arrhythmia medicines. It is important to tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking, as drug interactions could increase your risk of developing extremely low blood pressure, dangerously slow heart rate, strokes, heart failure, or other serious problems.

An Overview of Pindolol Drug Interactions

 Pindolol (Visken®) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of these medicines that may lead to interactions with pindolol include:
 
  • Alpha blockers (or medications with alpha-blocking activity), including:

 

 

 

 

  • Certain arrhythmia medications, including:

 

    • Amiodarone (Cordarone®)
    • Disopyramide (Norpace®, Norpace CR®)
    • Lidocaine (Xylocaine®)
    • Propafenone (Rythmol®)
    • Quinidine
