Plendil Drug Interactions

When medicines such as beta blockers or certain antibiotics are taken with Plendil, drug interactions may occur. Some of these interactions may alter the amounts of the medications in your blood, which can increase your risk of side effects or decrease the effectiveness of the medications. If Plendil drug interactions are a concern, your healthcare provider may monitor you more closely and adjust your dosages.

 

Plendil Drug Interactions: An Overview

 Plendil® (felodipine) can potentially interact with a number of other medicines. Some of the medications that can cause Plendil drug interactions include:
 
  • Beta blockers, such as:
 
 
  • Certain antibiotics or antifungals, such as:
 
    • Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
    • Erythromycin (Ery-Tab®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Neoral®)
    • Miconazole
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®)
 
 
 
  • Tacrolimus (Prograf®).
