Some general considerations for when and how to take
Procardia XL include:
- Procardia XL comes in tablet form. Procardia XL is taken by mouth, usually once a day.
- It does not matter if you take Procardia XL with or without food.
- Because Procardia XL tablets are extended release, they should not be broken, crushed, or chewed. Be sure to swallow Procardia XL tablets whole.
- Procardia XL should be taken at the same time each day to maintain an even level of the drug in your blood.
- For Procardia XL to work properly, it must be taken as prescribed. Procardia XL will not work if you stop taking it.
The dose of Procardia XL your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:
- The medical condition being treated
- Other medical conditions you may have
- Other medications you may currently be taking.
