Propranolol Sustained-Release Side Effects

Common propranolol sustained-release side effects include nausea, insomnia, and systemic lupus erythematosus. Side effects that should be reported to your doctor immediately include confusion, unexplained swelling or sudden weight gain, and numbness in the hands or feet. An Overview of Propranolol Sustained-Release Side Effects

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with propranolol hydrochloride sustained-release (Inderal LA®). However, not everyone who takes propranolol sustained-release will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate the drug quite well. If side effects do occur, in many cases, they are minor, meaning they require no treatment or are easily treated by you or a healthcare provider. Serious side effects are far less common, but can still occur.
