Serious and Rare Problems With Quinapril-Hydrochlorothiazide

Quinapril-Hydrochlorothiazide Side Effects to Report

There are a number of side effects with quinapril-hydrochlorothiazide that you should report immediately to your healthcare provider. These include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Changes in vision or eye pain
  • Unexplained swelling of the head or neck (including the face, lips, tongue, or throat)
  • Unexplained swelling of the hands and/or feet
  • Unexplained skin rash
  • Itching
  • Unexplained blisters or peeling of the skin
  • Wheezing
  • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
  • Dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting spells
  • Stomach pain with or without vomiting
  • Any symptoms that might suggest an infection, such as a fever or sore throat
  • Yellowing of the skin or the whites of the eyes
  • Decrease in the amount of urine produced
  • Dry mouth
  • Increased thirst
  • Weakness
  • Tiredness
  • Restlessness
  • Seizures
  • Confusion
  • Muscle pain or cramps
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Weak or irregular heartbeat.
     

Rare Quinapril-Hydrochlorothiazide Side Effects

There are other possible quinapril-hydrochlorothiazide side effects that can occur. These rare side effects occur in less than 1 percent of people. Given how rarely they occur, however, it can be difficult to tell whether these side effects are actually caused by the medication or something else.
