Sectral Interactions

If you take Sectral with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, alpha blockers, certain cold medications, or other drugs, interactions may occur. These could lead to dangerously low blood pressure, a very slow heart rate, or various other problems. In order to minimize your risk of developing drug interactions with Sectral, make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking.

An Overview of Sectral Drug Interactions

 Sectral® (acebutolol hydrochloride) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of these medicines that may lead to interactions with Sectral include:
 
  • Alpha blockers (or medications with alpha-blocking activity), including:

 

 

 

 

  • Certain cold and allergy medications, such as:

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Reserpine.
