Drug Interactions With Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide

When different medications are taken together, it is possible to develop negative drug interactions. With telmisartan/hydrochlorothiazide, interactions may occur if the drug is combined with barbiturates, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or other blood pressure medicines. Besides decreasing the effects of these medicines, side effects, such as extremely low blood pressure, or excessive medicine levels in the blood, may occur. Other medicines that can cause drug interactions with telmisartan/hydrochlorothiazide include diuretics, lithium, and muscle relaxants.
