Trandate Precautions and Warnings

When it comes to Trandate, precautions and warnings to be aware of before starting the medication include such things as not stopping the medication abruptly. Doing so can increase your chances for developing angina, heart attack, or serious irregular heart rhythms. Other precautions and warnings for Trandate users concern an increased risk for breathing problems, especially in people with certain lung diseases.

  • Are pregnant or trying to become pregnant (see Trandate and Pregnancy)
  • Are breastfeeding
  • Will be undergoing surgery or anesthesia.
     
Tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines that you may currently be taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
