Trandate Side Effects

Based on clinical studies of Trandate, side effects of the drug most commonly include such things as nausea, dizziness, and fatigue. Other side effects of Trandate can include headache, shortness of breath, and vertigo. Certain serious Trandate side effects may require medical attention and should be reported to a healthcare provider immediately, such as irregular heartbeat, chest pain, and difficulty breathing or swallowing.

 

Trandate Side Effects: An Overview

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with Trandate® (labetalol hydrochloride). However, not everyone who takes the medicine will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate Trandate well. When Trandate side effects do occur, they are generally minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are much less common.

Common Side Effects With Trandate

Trandate has been studied extensively in clinical trials, with thousands of people worldwide having been evaluated.
 In these studies, side effects are always documented and compared to those that occur in a similar group of people not taking the medicine. Based on these studies, the most common Trandate side effects include:
 
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
  • Nasal stuffiness
  • Heartburn or indigestion (dyspepsia).

The chances of experiencing side effects with Trandate increases with increasing doses of the medicine.
