Drug Interactions With Trandolapril-Verapamil ER

Some of the medications that can lead to trandolapril-verapamil ER drug interactions include neuromuscular blocking agents; potassium-sparing diuretics, such as spironolactone, triamterene, and amiloride; and beta blockers, such as metoprolol, propranolol, atenolol. Among other things, these interactions can cause your blood pressure to decrease too much, contribute to kidney damage in some people, and lead to side effects like headaches and dizziness.

An Overview of Drug Interactions With Trandolapril-Verapamil ER

 Trandolapril-verapamil hydrochloride ER (Tarka®) can potentially interact with a number of other medicines. Some of the medications that can lead to trandolapril-verapamil ER interactions can include (but are not limited to):
 
 
  • Carbamazepine (Carbatrol®, Epitol®, Equetro®, Tegretol®, Tegretol XR®)
  • Certain arrhythmia medications, including:
     
    • Amiodarone (Cordarone®)
    • Dofetilide (Tikosyn®)
    • Disopyramide (Norpace®, Norpace CR®)
    • Flecainide (Tambocor™)
    • Quinidine
    • Sotalol (Betapace®)
 
 
 
 
  • Rifampin (Rifadin®, Rimactane®, Rofact®)
  • Theophylline (Uniphyl®, Theocron®, TheoCap®, Theo-24®, Elixophyllin®)
