Side Effects of Valsartan and Hydrochlorothiazide

The most common side effects of valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide include the common cold and low potassium levels in the blood. Some rare side effects include increased heart rate, tiredness, and heartburn or indigestion. A few side effects that you should report immediately to your healthcare provider include restlessness, increased thirst, and muscle pain or cramps. If you develop any side effects while taking valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide, let your healthcare provider know.
