Headaches, infections, and constipation are the most common side effects reported with Verelan PM. Side effects that are reported rarely (occurring in less than 2 percent of people taking Verelan PM) include a dry mouth, hair loss, and impotence. Several Verelan PM side effects are more serious and should be immediately reported to a healthcare provider. These serious side effects can include chest pain, significant water retention, and hallucinations.

Verelan PM Side Effects: An Introduction

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with Verelan PM® (verapamil hydrochloride). However, not everyone who takes the medication will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. When side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.
(This article covers many, but not all, of the possible side effects with Verelan PM. Your healthcare provider can discuss a more complete list of side effects with you.)

Common Verelan PM Side Effects

Verelan PM has been studied thoroughly in clinical trials, in which the side effects of a group of people taking the drug are documented and then compared to the side effects of another group not taking the medicine.
